Frequently Asked Questions.
For more information, please check out my "Truth" page.
Can you provide references that aren't just "typed out" on your website?
I can only stay in business by having scores of delighted Brides and Grooms- who constantly refer future jobs to me. Check out my references by clicking here. The comments are straight from my clients' mouths... I do not re-type or write anything myself.
Are you properly trained?
I have professional training and on-air announcing capabilities, and serve as your Master of Ceremonies. I don't do it "just for fun" or "on the side".
Will these questions answer every question I have?
Maybe. Please check out my TRUTH page (which has the low-down on how to hire a Orlando Wedding DJ) or call me at 407-296-4996 for more information.
What experience do you have?
I have years of experience as a DJ (Orlando & Central Florida) performing at hundreds of weddings, parties, and dances, from the smallest event all the way up to grand performances at the Walt Disney World Resort®. You can check my references here.
How many Orlando weddings do you do?
I average between 6 to 8 weddings per month. Remember, when you book Classic Disc Jockeys you are getting me... you will know who your DJ is!
What Premium Services do you offer that set you apart from other DJs?
I strive to bring something different to each Wedding, so you do not have a typical, average reception. You can check out some of the extra amenities I offer by clicking here.
What equipment do you use?
The equipment used is 100% professional audio. Some brands I use are: Bose® Professional, Shure®, and Denon®.
What is different about the equipment you use?
I use the Bose® Professional L1 system. It is suitable for for up to 350 guests, and brings a more exclusive, high-end, polished look. Instead of typical DJ speaker boxes, cases, and trusses, this system brings elegant refinement that will blend with your decor. For a picture, please click here.
Do you use a wireless microphone?
Yes, and your guests may use the microphone for toasts. I have a range of over 500 feet, so I can cover just about any venue.
What type of music will you play?
All of the music is crystal-clear digital. I have thousands of songs suitable for all your guests. You can see a complete list of songs by clicking here.
What about obnoxious or offensive songs?
Sometimes this category is very subjective. I play versions of songs that are heard on the radio, generally ok for everyone. If it's "bleeped" out on the radio, it will "bleeped out" when I play it!
Can I bring my own music for you to play?
If for some reason I do not have a particular song you would like to hear, or I cannot obtain it because it is "out-of-print", I will be happy to play that song on CD (that is suitable for all ages) that you provide.
What if the volume is too loud or you play music I don't like?
You and your guests come first, not the DJ. I will play only the best crowd-pleasing music, or requests from your guests. It's your night. You choose the format, the volume, everything.
How will the DJ be dressed?
I always dress for the event. You can count on me to wear a tuxedo every time.
How much is this going to cost?
You can check out DJ pricing by clicking here. I only require a small retainer fee to hold the date of your wedding, and the balance is due the day of your event. I do not require pre-payment of the balance.
What if I just really can't afford it?
You may want to consider a DJ equipment rental- it even comes with an audio technician to operate the equipment. Click here for more information. Don't let your special day go without totally without music.
Do I have to provide a meal to the DJ?
You may wish to provide a meal if you are so inclined, but it is not required. Sometimes during a buffet service (and possibly a sit-down dinner), the caterer or hotel themselves may offer a meal to the DJ.
Do I have to tip the DJ?
Tipping is not required.
Are you licensed to do business?
Because I operate a legitimate, professional company, I feel this is crucial. The same goes for insurance. I am both licensed and carry full liability insurance for everyone's protection.
Are you affiliated with any professional organizations?
I am member of the American Disc Jockey Association. The ADJA requires its members to adhere to the highest of standards and ethical practices. I am also a member of WESH-TV's A-List.
